ALUMNI ACTIVITY DURING THE SUMMER . was confined to outings in New Haven and Bridgeport. The latter was a recurrence of the annual Dartmouth-Wesleyan Softball and eating fracas with honors even. The crowd was there, but for the first time since the event was inaugurated Softball, beer and roast beef were relegate to the back seat by the Republican Nam tional Convention balloting which started; that day. Hits, runs and errors gave wa|f to Willkie, Dewey and Taft. It was not until the New York delegation was pollej that the more serious things of life, such a| singing songs and tapping the keg, begat to predominate. Gus Farwell '37 has bee, dodging army cooking schools ever sinctj his talent in the cuisine was discoverer over an old broken down fireplace.

New Haven's annual meeting and out] ing was held on June 29. The outing cm; sisted of a sail down New Haven harbor it Eric Ball's ('18) oyster boat, followinl which there was a softball game betweei the alumni and undergraduates, the fornrn needing a very sympathetic umpire to win Subsequently lusty appetites were satiatei by a picnic supper. The business meeting resulted in the reelection of all of last year's officers, to wit: Edward C. Cole '26, presi dent; George H. Lane '29, vice president; Kendall P. Foster '26, treasurer, and Got don Colby '27, treasurer. The executivie committee consists of Howard S. Ransos '2l, James A. Hamilton '22, Robert C. Mis '27 and John F. Meek Jr. '33.
