AWARD OF THE George E. Chamberlin Fellowship for graduate study this year to Herbert Landsman '40 of Brookline, Mass., was announced by President Hopkins on October 10. The grant of $900 became available for award when relinquished by its original recipient, Arthur Root '40 of Brooklyn, N. Y., valedictorian of last year's graduating class, who will continue his work with the movement to establish a youth work camp at Tunbridge, Vt.
Mr. Landsman, who was an honors student in Romance languages at Dartmouth, is enrolled this year at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He was a Phi Beta Kappa student, a leading member of The Players, and a member of the Glee Club, the Experimental Theatre directorate, and Green Key.
