Seeking further information regarding our classmate Charles Dutton of West Danville, Vermont, I learn that his condition is about the same as when he reported two or three months ago. A long standing ailment of erysipelas in his shoulder shows little improvement and renders him nearly helpless and he is only able to read but little, his eyes being none too good.
He will be glad to hear from any classmate.
We are glad to learn from the wife of Dr. N. W. Sanborn of the University of Florida at Gainesville, Florida, that he has so far recovered from his recent illness as to be able to get around daily and enjoy short trips in his automobile. It is hoped and expected that his health will be completely restored in the near future, so that he will be able to carry out his plans to be in Hanover next June to attend our Sixtieth Reunion.
We regret to learn that after he was first taken sick last May, his only son, Willard F. Sanborn a resident of Saint Maries, Idaho, came all the way from Idaho in less than four days to see his father without any accident, but that he had the misfortune a short time after his return home to become the victim of an automobile accident and subsequently passed away in November.
This son was President of Saint Maries' Chamber of Commerce and was quite prominent in social and business life in his home town. He leaves besides his parents, a sister, two nephews and his wife and daughter and several grandchildren in Idaho.
