Weary Wardle writes that he is taking a vacation in Florida and any classmate who happens to be in that vicinity before April 1 will receive a hearty welcome at 1223½ 13th St., North, St. Petersburg.
I hope you all noticed the article in the March issue of LADIES HOME JOURNAL entitled Meet the Theodore Chases. It was announced in a full page notice in the Boston HERALD.
A card was received by the Secretary announcing the birth of John Benedict Roache 111, November 11, 1939, a grandson of Tom Whittier.
While on a trip to Hartford to visit my son who has recently obtained a position with the Hartford Indemnity Company, I called on Hobe at the Court House in Worcester and found he was just ending a busy term of court. I learned that he will attend the Republican National Convention as delegate from the 3rd Massachusetts Congressional District. In the evening I called on Eddie Skinner and his wife at their home. Eddie reports that his real estate venture in building small one family houses is proving quite successful as several have been sold with more being built. Gus Heywood and his wife were summoned by phone so we had a real '99 gathering.
I visited the Greenwoods at Hartford and learned that their son John graduated last June from Lehigh University, industrial engineering course, and now has a position with Ingersoll Rand Cos. at Phillipsburg, N. J. His engagement to Miss Katherine Hovey Reynolds of Winnetka, III., who is employed by the Aetna Life Insurance Cos., at Hartford was announced last November.
Stanley G. Walker has opened his law office at Worcester in the same room occupied by his father.
