ALUMNI OF DARTMOUTH, their wives and guests to the number of 60 assembled at the Shrine Club in St. Petersburg on February 23 for their annual dinner. The social hour which preceded the dinner afforded opportunity for many who were contemporaries in college to renew old acquaintances, and in some measure relieved the disappointment felt by all that, owing to illness in the family, Mrs. Edwin B. Frost, whose husband was a distinguished member of the class of 1886, was reluctantly obliged to withdraw her invitations for a Dartmouth tea in the afternoon. The procession into the dining room was led by the oldest graduate present, Dr. Henry Mann Silver '72, and was wound up by the youngest, J. Carl Lee '39—a difference of only 67 years! In the absence of Herbert E. Gage 'B7, president of the Club, Henry H. Austin 'B5 presided over the meeting. Rev. T. C. H. Bouton '7B invoked the Divine blessing. Stanley E. Johnson 'B7 spoke on the "Wives of Dartmouth" and Prof. C. A. Holden '95 brought word from the college. Three members of the 50-year class, C. A. Hardy '9O, Dr. Victor Safford '9O, and F. D. Woods '9O, were introduced and spoke briefly. The classes which graduated before the turn of the century outnumbered the later classes two to one, as might be expected in this city of oldsters.
The following officers were re-elected for the ensuing year: President, Herbert E. Gage '87; Vice President, Stephen Chase '96; Secretary and Treasurer, Carrol E. Hill '20.
The meeting then adjourned to the lounge, where several reels of Dartmouth movies were shown. Among those present were: Dr. Henry Mann Silver '72, Rev. T. C. H. Bouton '78, Henry H. Austin '85, William P. Kelly '86, Ned C. Wardwell '86, Stanley E. Johnson '87, Emerson Rice '87, Fred T. Dunlap '88, H. T. Spencer '88, Harry M. Frost '89, C. A. Tardy '90, Dr. Victor Safford '90, F. Buckley 'OO, Mr. and Mrs. Chas G. Aiken, G. A. Simpson, Frank Emerson, Mr. and Mrs. Howard G. Lane, Mrs. Margaret Hukill, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred W.
