On a recent Sunday in Lebanon, New Hampshire, the Secretary bethought himself of the number of men from his Class that had come from the Lebanon high school. After consultation with Miss Ford of the Alumni Records Office the full list may be given as follows: G. H. Brown, E. J. Grow, C. E. Harris, G. O. Merrill, B. A. Smalley, F. L. Smalley, E. S. Tenney, J. A. Townsend, W. J. Wallis.
Not all these men registered from Lebanon although they all prepared at the Lebanon high school. C. E. Harris registered from Etna, and Tenney and Merrill registered from Hanover. All but G. O. Merrill graduated. All are living except Brown and Harris. This is far and away the largest number to enter the Class from any one town and it is also the largest number from Lebanon in any Class from 1890 to 1900. Although this is the largest number to enter our Class from any one town it is not the largest number from one preparatory school as eleven members of the Class of '94 prepared for college at St. Johnsbury Academy.
In the October issue it is hoped to feature the Secretary's visit with the '94 contingent in and around San Francisco which is scheduled to take place the coming August. His incidental reason for making the visit will be to attend the General Council of the Congregational and Christian Churches which meets at Berkeley. On the way across the continent, he expects to stop at La Moille,Ill., and marry his older son, John Leverett Merrill ('32) to Miss Marian DeLong.
