This is the first time we have published an issue of this magazine as soon after Commencement as it has been possible to accomplish the editorial and printing work. For the first time we can offer this tenth issue of the year to officers of reuning classes, allowing them to tell the stories, even briefly, of their physical meeting again with the College after five years away from Hanover Plain. We are able to relay to a majority of the alumni body, through the functioning of the 100% Group Subscription Plan, some of the speeches and some of the color of the great climatic weekend that marks the end of the College year—the dramatic closing of Dart- mouth's 171 st year.

Address by General Sherman at Commencement, 1869.
