To achieve one of its purposes, that of serving as a clearing house for information about defense activities open to both younger and older citizens, the American Defense Dartmouth Group has a request to make. Alumni who learn of defense opportunities open to civilians are asked to send information to Prof. Harold J. Tobin, chairman, at 230 Baker Library, Hanover. Advice received from alumni who are officers in military and naval service will also be passed on to interested alumni and undergraduates.

The sub-committee on speaking and rad io, headed by Prof. J. M. McDaniel, will undertake to secure the services of qualified speakers from the faculty on subjects related to the War and National Defense for meetings within short traveling distance of Hanover. Alumni desiring to secure speakers through the Dartmouth committee, either for public or alumni gatherings in their localities, are asked to get in touch with Mr. McDaniel.
