A MIDWINTER MEETING was held on January 16 at the Nashua Country Club, and in spite of a heavy snowstorm which lent an atmosphere of Hanover, about forty turned out. Bill McCarter '19, Director of Athletics, came to tell about conditions at Hanover, especially in athletic fields, and his words were both interesting and timely, in view of the fact that the appointment of a new football coach had been announced only two days earlier. Movies of the 1940 football season followed.

Our grand old man, Dr. H. O. Smith '86 was there to keep up his attendance record, as well as that other old reliable Dr. H. H. Dearborn '99 who never lets a little snow keep him from driving down from Milford. Among those whom we do not see as often were Dr. H. E. Thompson '07, Gerry Cobleigh '15, Bob Pease '16, Jimmy Chesnulevich '33, and Winnie Mansfield '34.
