From the Ridgefield (Conn.) Press comes an item that says "someone has to mind the Big Board," and one of those responsible is DaveHuntoon who has been named a vice president of the Regulation and Surveillance Group of the New York Stock Exchange. Among the Hun- toons' children is David, 19, a sophomore at Dartmouth.
Bob Schroeder, paying his class dues, adds an interesting note telling of his retirement from the Navy in July after 30 years of service. He is building a house in North Conway and plans to do lots of skiing, with golf in the summer. Daughter Stacy is a freshman at Colorado State University. Our classmate writes: "After 3½ years in the Mideast it is good to be back, especially now. I was there in '67, too. Maybe I leave tracks!"
It may sound like "This Is Your Life," but who became top salesman with Corliss and Associates his first year, a year later was promoted to vice president, served on boards of the California Real Estate Association and is currently president of the Venice, Calif., Board of Realtors? Ed Scully, that's who. He resides on the Marina Del Ray Peninsula with wife, Betsy.
The class Executive Committee met in mid- October in Woodstock, Vt„ the morning of the Dartmouth-Penn game. If you haven't heard about the business discussed - our class project - then I'm sure you will shortly. That night. Cotton Johnson's son Peter was special guest at a dinner at the Woodstock Inn. He is Class of '74 at Dartmouth. From London Cy Helm sends on the latest news of family and business. President and chief executive officer of Intairdril Ltd., Cy's letter was dated October 11, shortly after fighting erupted in the Middle East where most of his company's operations are concentrated. Cy Jr. graduated from St. Stephen's School in Austin and is a freshman at Tulane University. Cy and Glora Bee - wed for 25 years - live in London's West End, just a few blocks from Buckingham Palace. He writes: Fresh from 12 years in Libya, we find London living very refreshing. . . . We would be very happy to hear from any alumni, especially '47s - especially Thayer '47s - who might be in the area."
