SUPER SPECIAL

PRESIDENT HOPKINS BILL MCCARTER

WHAT MORE COULD anyone of us ask than to be allowed to sit in on such a party. Hal Fitz '23, the chairman of the committee, informs your scribe that present indications point to this party setting a new record for attendance with something to spare. Prexy Woods '10 is in training for his duties as toastmaster—old jokes being tried out on his long-suffering wife, nightly sessions with the listerine spray, etc., etc., etc. Weekly meetings of the com mittee have failed to clarify the issue of menu, notices, seating at the head table, which class, if any, will have half as many present as '33, and all of the rest of the details. You may be sure though, that as of Tuesday night, April 8, we'll be ready for you and all the rest of the Dartmouth gang for the biggest and best party ever held in Washington. Call up that classmate and bring him to this affair—you'll really miss something if you aren't there.

The entertainment committee, with Larry Reeves '33 at the helm, has been doing a fine job of building up the weekly luncheons which are held every Tuesday at the Annapolis Hotel. A once-a-month program of speakers has been inaugurated with Warren Kendall '99 being the first to hold forth. His talk on the activities of the Alumni Council was well worth hearing. Such outstanding men as Chuck Palmer 'lB, John Sullivan '2l, and F. M. Shea '25 will be on the program in the near future. Join the ever-growing crowd at these weekly luncheons.

The local alumni would like to take this opportunity to thank Warren Kendall '99 for his faithful and able work as our representative on the Alumni Council. During his six years' service he held the post of president for two terms which indicates that he contributed greatly to the work of that body. Many thanks, Warren, for a fine job well done. Ted Stafford 'll has been selected as his successor and we know that we are again ably represented.

Odds and ends: Dave McCoy 'lB has suddenly taken a great interest in freshman marks and he doesn't mind telling you why. ... .Hall Leich '29 and Joe Huber '4O recently caught indulging in cheap publicity gags. .. .something about skiing Charlie Grant last heard from on top of Mt. Mansfield... .skiing tied up with this one also. .. .bowling team lost services of John Pendleton 'l5 via appendicitis and immediately went into tailspin.... the needle is so terrific at the luncheons that Larry Reeves '33 refuses to make announcements and Jim Pimper '33 and Paul Woodbridge '29 won't even show up. .. .seen at recent events. .. .Ben Burch '32, Jim Berkey '35, Alvah Fowler 'OO, John Moody 'OO, Marv Braverman '29, Joe Watson '3l, Ralph Wells 'l7, George Drowne '33, Ralph Britton '29, Bob Goodman '34, Stu Barber '34, Johnnie Johnson 'l5, Bob Kay '33, Bill Fenton '3O, Bill Brown '3O, Art Gow 'lO, and Herb Ball '29.

SEE YOU ON APRIL 8 AT THE MAYFLOWER.
