In a letter to Ed Winsor, Duke Keegin reports a week's trip to Hanover in which he and his wife devoted most of the time to skiing although he did get a chance to see Bob Strong, Chinee Allen and Putty Blodgett. Duke reports "My law practice is principally for the purpose of supporting our farm which is located in Howard County, Maryland, about half way between here and Baltimore. Our whole family is very rural, so we had a lot in common with Putty Blodgett, who, as you may know, is running a four hundred acre farm at Bradford, Vermont. As a matter of fact, a few months ago Putty and his wife Charlotte were delegates to the American Farm Bureau Convention at Baltimore, and came out and spent a few days with us, most of which was devoted to looking over the Howard County farms and also the Government experimental farm at Beltsville. You may remember that Putty was always interested in hunting so I tried to get him to stay over and go fox hunting with us but his cows needed milking so he had to run off. Incidentally, we have some of the best fox hunting country and any member of the class who likes to ride or fox hunt should let me know when he is in our vicinity."
