WITH THE SINGLE EXCEPTION of Treasurer Phil Whitbeck '33, a new staff of officers has taken over for the Dartmouth Club of Rochester since the annual banquet and business meeting held late in March.
Dr. Henry B. Crawford '26 succeeds Ken Knapp 'll as president; F. Irving Hutchins '2O was elected vice president, and Lynn Brown '37, secretary.
Sid Hayward was guest of honor at the banquet, and we had more than 50 alumni present from the Western New York area. Following dinner, and Sid's words of wisdom concerning the Hanover scene, movies were shown and every alumnus was armed with visible proof that Cornell did NOT score on that third down. Which should quash those rumors in this part of the country.
An undergraduate-alumni luncheon was held April 5 and the alumni got together for a picnic and ball-game the last Saturday in May at "Tubber" Weymouth's farm. In the midst of its social activities, the club got around to proposing and adopting a constitution—if only to give Whitbeck some legal right for putting the "bite" on the members.
