Verification of a scoop, first reported here several months ago, has arrived. Jeff Saffer has indeed received his MD from George Washington U and will intern at the Main Medical Center in Portland. Mr.

Other medical news is breaking. John PaisleyCollected his MD from Harvard and will intern at University of Colorado Affiliated Hospitals in Denver. R. Kent Sargent, Dick Anschuetz, DickGlogau, Pete Lawrence, Dave Tee, and DaveRutlen also picked up their MDs at Harvard. Sarge and Rut will intern at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston; Glo at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philly; Ansch at University of Wash Affiliated Hospitals in Seattle: PL in surgery at Presbyterian Hospital in NYC; and T will be at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas (seems to ring a bell).

Still on the med front, Mark Davenport earned his MD at Case Western Reserve and will intern at University Hospitals in Cleveland. Fred Oldenburg also received a Case MD and will int at the North Carolina Memorial Hospital. DougWebber got his MD at U of Cal and will serve his residency at the University of Utah Affiliated Hospitals in Salt Lake City. Edgar Robertson's MD came from Boston University and he is taking it to Albany Hospital at the Albany Medical Center. The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center of Penn State U bestowed an MD on Barry Gray, while Mike Adickman's was given by U Penn. Mike will intern at Case Western Reserve's University Hospital. Lastly, it has been confirmed that Bob Nadelberg, owner of a Harvard MD, will intern at U Ariz Medical Center in Tucson.

On the home front, Ed Damon married Claudia Cords, a fellow third year law student at BU, and Don Syracuse recently married Audena Spear, the supervisor of cardiac research facilities and a staff nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit at the Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Dr. Don is presently a member of the house staff on the surgical service at the same institution and has received an appointment to the cardiac surgery branch of the National Institutes of Health.

Jim Hutchinson has been elected to the position of loan officer in the commercial banking department of the First National Bank of Chicago. He joined the bank in 1971 in the department's Loan Division O which serves minority business development. South area recruitment chairman for the Dartmouth Club of Chicago, Jim received Chicago's Ten Outstanding Young Men award this year. He and wife Gayle live at 601 E. 32nd St.

And continuing 1969's Chicago banking information, Bob Gunst has been promoted to assistant vice president of the same First National Bank of Chicago. His former position there was as loan officer of the department's Loan Division A, serving food, beverages, and tobacco businesses. Bob earned his MBA at the University of Chicago Grad School of Business, and belongs to the Dartmouth Club in his home city. He and wife Karen live at 26 Muirwood Drive, Glen Ellyn.

Back to degrees, Peter Komanecky now has a John Hopkins Ph.D.; Henry Fields, an U lowa D.D.S.; and Lyle Nyberg, a BU J.D. Sparky will clerk for Justice Alfred Joslin of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Randy Stonesifer earned a Math Ph.D. at Caltech and is teaching at Kenyon College in tiny Gambier, Ohio, as a visiting assistant prof. Randy reports that Larry Carter will soon have a similar degree from Berkeley.

Lastly, Dr. Pete Anderson has returned to Hanover to intern at Mary H. and Bill Nichols is about to wed, but a diligent search has not yet discovered the identity of his spouse-to-be. Bill has spent four years at Stanford.

This is a reunion year.
