Came a card from Jimmie Pringle and Mrs. Lillian Young Parker announcing their marriage on July 28th. My request for further information elicits that Mrs. Parker was for thirty years a teacher in elementary schools in Winchendon, Mass. She resigned a year ago as principal. Before going to Winchendon she lived in Greenland. This is a little ambiguous, but I infer that Greenland, New Hampshire, where Jerry Simpson came from, is meant. The Pringles will make their home at 10 Tahonto St., Concord, New Hampshire. Best wishes to them!

Harrison R. Thyng cables his wife in Barnstead that he has been promoted to be a major. He was one of the first six United States Air Force fighter pilots to fly over France with the R. A. F. He is in command of a fighter squadron. This is one of Herbie's sons.

Frank Cavanaugh '99, with a fractured skull and jaw and many other injuries from a shell, came to consciousness on the operating table of an army surgeon during World War I. The surgeon asked permission to operate. Cav. said, 'Who are you and where do you come from?"

"I am Dr. So-and-So, and I come from Cincinnati."

"Do you know Albert Morrill?" "Yes."

"Go ahead as far as you like." Recently it was announced in the Boston Globe, with his picture, that Hollywood was considering making a movie of his life.

All five of Cavanaugh's sons are in the service.
