FOR THE THIRD successive year Pi Lambda Phi has gained first place in fraternity scholarship. Its 1941-42 average was 2.845, a gain of .091 'over the year before, and .180 higher than that of the runner-up, Sigma Nu, which had 2.665. Gamma Delta Chi, in second place last year and the year before, slipped to sixth this year, and Delta Tau Delta moved up from fifth last year to third.

The general College average was 2.331, a drop of .052 from the year before. The three upper classes registered 2.476, with the non-fraternity men (2.580) again topping the fraternity men (2.430). The average for the freshman class dropped from 2.082 to 2.002 for the past year.
