THROUGH THE GENEROSITY of a group of Dartmouth men copies of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE will be sent to army camps and navy stations where they will be available for reading by alumni every month this year. This plan was inaugurated with the March 1942 issue. Upon announcement of the desire of the editors to make sure that Dartmouth men in the service see the MAGAZINE an anonymous contribution was received to underwrite the expense involved. Edwin R. Bartlett '04, former member of the Dartmouth Alumni Council, has been the leader in continuing the plan. A total expense of $300 is required to send the ALUMNI MAGAZINE to about 200 army and navy libraries throughout the country, to all camps and stations where one or more Dartmouth men are located. The entire amount has been underwritten by a group of Dartmouth men in Niagara Falls, N. Y., all employees of the Hooker Electro-chemical Company.
The editors gratefully acknowledge the generous support of the following men who have made the plan possible: Edwin R. Bartlett '04, John F. Bartlett '11, Jesse H. Babcock '14, Frank L. Bryant '35, Charles H. Winkler Jr. '35, Joseph A. Tardiff '37, Alton V. Thorpe '40, Thomas F. Willers '41.
