The Secretary's address after December 8 will be 1230 Reynolds Avenue, Clearwater, Fla. He hopes he may have word from each of the 26 survivors of the class (graduating 78, over 55 years ago) so that he may present a message valuable to all.
Dr. Junkins has suffered a bitter deprivation this year because of his inability to attend all the football games. He has been to nearly all, but the denial of sufficient gas kept him from the Princeton game. "Syd," accompanied by wife, guests, Secretary, nurse and chauffeur, always makes a spectacular appearance on the gridiron —and wins a big hand.
Roger Rice, son of our always lamented Secretary, writes of Emery K. Rice '42, his son, and the great satisfaction he enjoys since enrollment in the United States Coast Guard. Winn has written an interesting memorandum affirming his excellent health, and "for amusement dipping deeply into local politics." But, unfortunately, he omits any details. He encloses (for the class archives) a letter written by Professor Colby to Rev. Carl Corwin, sometime before his death, taking issue with our devout missionary's old-fashioned orthodoxy.
