We will never be able to top the wonderful turnout we had for our 60th. There were 78 classmates, five widows, 62 wives and guests. The excitement of greeting one another—some not since 1934 and the program set by the College and by-Reunion Chairman Bill Wilson strongly brightened June 13-15, 1994, for all of us.
The first event was a discussion at 105 Dartmouth on the College today, led by Alumni Affairs Director Mike Choukas '51. Topics covered included the many changes in courses offered, learning opportunities outside the classroom, and study abroad. After dinner at Thayer we visited the president's home and then enjoyed a rousing surprise concert
Our second day started with the memorial service at Rollins Chapel, led by Dana Redington who read the names of the 74 classmates who had passed away since our 55 th. (Sad as this is, 40.1 percent of our '34s are still living, a survival rate far ahead of the national average at our age.)
The morning continued at Spaulding as President Freedman spoke on current issues at the College and handled alumni questions. Lunch at Hanover Inn Terrace was followed by a tour of the Hood Museum and walks around the campus.
Our Tuesday evening banquet was highlighted by Dean of Faculty James Wright, who will be acting president when President Freedman goes on sabbatical next January. He congratulated us on setting still another Alumni Fund giving record in our 60th year, reminding us that we were also the first class to enter after the stock market crash in 1929. He spoke of the countless changes in the world and in our lives since then, though the College's academic objectives are unchanged.
At our class meeting, two new officers were elected. Bill Scherman will be vice president and Irja Wilson will handle memorial gifts. Bequest Chairman Bill Judd reported that 1934 now stands fourth among all classes in total bequest giving.
After our farewells, many went to hear Dr. C. Everett Koop '37 speak on "Winds of Change in Health Care," and some of us stayed later at Dowd's Country Inn in Lyme for some post-reunion relaxation. Plan to be at our mini-reunion next September 23-24!

The class of '34 crowded once more into "Commons" (now part of the expanded Collis ), where Em Day, Charlie Kehoe, and Phil Glazer laughed over lunch.
