DARTMOUTH CLUB NEWS (Dick Kershaw '23 Editor and John Camph '31 Business Mgr.) is again on the newsstands and is really a swell piece of works Neat and newsy with an unusually attractive layout, it provides the Club and other members of the Dartmouth family interested in Dartmouth in New York with a long needed medium for disseminating local intelligence.

The November issue features a timely message from President Hopkins stressing the importance of alumni organizations to the College in these fluid times. Dr. Hopkins has always been a staunch supporter of the Club, and the present strong position of the Club reflects an alumni effort to merit his continued interest and cooperation. We repeat Dr. Hopkins' message:

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESDENT To the Dartmouth man in New York City, either as resident or as visitor, such as I occasionally am, the Dartmouth College Club of New York proffers the great attraction of Dartmouth fellowship and hospitality in excess of its many comforts and conveniences. It is always a pleasure to cross' its threshold and participate in its activities. In its new quarters and in its enlarged efforts to serve the College, I hope that the Club will perpetuate this spirit and will enjoy every continuing success.

The values which the Club can contribute in strengthening the ties between the alumni and the College are incalculably greater today than in less troubled times, great as they always are. The backlog of devoted and understanding support given by its sons constitutes today's greatest assurance of an enduring Dartmouth, and to the constant replenishing of that strength nothing makes greater contribution than the various organizations of the alumni. As one of the foremost of these, the Dartmouth College Club of New York deserves and has the deepest gratitude of the College; at the same time it bears, in the eyes of all Dartmouth men, a commensurate responsibility to carry on with whatever adjustments are required by the war, so that we may emerge from these critical days with our lines intact and our strength unimpaired for the much greater tasks ahead.
