DARTMOUTH WAR DIRECTORY, page 13, continues the listing of alumni in the armed services. Names of 322 men were recorded by the College within the past month as going into uniform, making the total 3,764. Dartmouth men, their families, and friends are asked to send information about entrance into military or full-time civilian war service to the Alumni Records Office in Hanover.

Sidney C. Hazelton '09 has taught first aid to a thousand volunteer students in his Red Cross classes in Hanover and neighboring towns. The important contribution to civilian defense of this popular and widely known member of the College staff is described by John Hurd '21 in Hanover's First Aid Maestro, page 10. Prof. L. B. Richardson continues' his series of Brief Biographies of Buildings, page 12. The CoverCHRISTMAS GREETINGS from President and Mrs. Hopkins are carried to 14,500 Dartmouth men and their families on the cover this month. The photograph of the south door of the President's house was made by Boris of Boston. Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins are omitting a formal Christmas card this year. We are delighted to use our cover this month for the message of greeting which they wish especially to go to nearly 4000 Dartmouth men in uniform, scattered throughout the world.
