We suffered another loss in the death of Blakey Dec. 18th last. He had made a partial recovery from the heart attack about two years ago but suffered a stroke about a week preceding his death. The sympathy of the class will go to Mrs. Blakey and his son Wallace. This reduces our membership to 29, and the outbreak of the war finds most of the survivors living on the coastal frontiers; six on the Pacific and 14 on or near the eastern seaboard. Brackett, the only survivor to whom the first war was a reality, crossed out the conventional "merry" and "happy" on his Christmas card, writing "A good Christmas and a New Year with pleasant memories and worthwhile experiences." He added; "I am sending out some, not many, Xmas cards, not without some qualifying to make them more honest in the midst of the direst of circumstances—Le Pays Bas, 1941." ... . Edward Dana Knight Jr., grandson of our Knight, is a member of class of '44, the fourth generation in the Dartmouth line. .... Hall's widow writes from Seattle (7018 Lincoln Park Way) that her married daughter, Maud, moved to Seattle in July. The son-in-law remarried and has taken the grandchildren to Pittsburg, Penna. Mrs. . Hall, however, expects to return to Portland, Oregon The drastic change in college programme now sets the reunion date May 15-17, following Commencement May 10th. It is a far cry from our memorable Tenth and promises to be a quiet but not less satisfactory occasion to those in attendance.
