THE ALUMNI COUNCIL has announced its decision, in conference with the administration in Hanover, for a revision in dates of class reunions this springThe new reunion week-end will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 1515-16-17. Regular five-year reunions are being planned for the following classes, which will all hold reunions on the May 15 date rather than on two separate week-ends as last year: 1877, 1882, 1887, 1892, 1897, 1902 1907, 1912, 1917, 1922, 1927, 1932, 1937.

Sigurd Sigurd S. Larmon '14, president of the Alumni Council, in announcing the action of his executive committee, calls attention to the vote of the faculty eliminating the spring vacation and other holidays to provide an accelerated program releasing Dartmouth College seniors for military service by May 10. This speeding up of the College calendar also permits a summer term of semester-length to begin late in May.

"It would seem inadvisable to attempt to hold reunions during graduation week," said Mr. Larmon's statement. "The undergraduates will not be out of the dormitories in time to take care of incoming alumni. A quick check of sentiment has made it clear that the various classes having reunions scheduled for 1942 will want to carry on. Everything considered, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 15th, 16th and 17th, appear to be the best dates for the class reunions."

It is probable that most, if not all, of the classes will hold reunions as planned before the outbreak of war. In some of the classes an expression of opinion is being sought by the class officers to determine what the desire of the class may be and what are the prospects of satisfactory attendance.

The executive committee of the Alumni Council has also approved the scheduling of the annual meetings of the Council, Secretaries Association, Class Agents, and Class Treasurers on May 16-17.
