John and Mrs. Abbott are at the Bellevue, Beacon Street, Boston, for the winter.
Mrs. Charles G. DuBois is visiting friends in Bradenton, Florida.
From a neice of Wilbur I. Dade is obtained the following: Dade received a local preacher's license from the Rockport (Mass.) Quarterly Conference of the Lynn District of the New England Annual Conference held at Rockport on Dec. 13, 1892. Dade preached at several small churches till illness caused him to give up that work. Later he was for a while a successful book agent for religious works. On his tombstone in an old graveyard in Rockport appears REVEREND WILBUR I. DADE. He died on October 9, 1901.
From the Harvard Alumni Bulletin of January 24 is taken the following item:
"The Washington club's new policy of inviting outstanding speakers to its luncheons has been most successful in the matter of attendance. The Club reports, however, 'lt is the view of the majority of the members that it is immaterial who the speaker is, for most of the members come to hear Robert Lincoln O'Brien '91, president of the club, who is so gifted as raconteur and famous for his spontaneous wit that the most important anti-third term tradition shattered last year was that discarded by the Harvard Club of Washington in electing Mr. O'Brien .... as its president inperpetuum.'"
The Carney Building, 43 Tremont St., Boston, has been taken over by the United States Government and that caused the removal of Daniel L. Smith to room 1123, 11 Beacon St., Boston.
