March 1942 ARTHUR M. STRONG

A January letter from Bliss brings the news that he disposed of his place in Calais, Vt. in 1940 and now considers West Beach, Biloxi, Miss, his permanent residence and address. You will be sorry to hear that Mrs. Bliss has not yet fully recovered from the serious fall which she had in 1940. Don Jr. is in London, as commercial attache but his wife is in Paris, unable to get away, but reported indirectly as well, and busy with Red Cross, work. Bliss fears that tire and gas restrictions and other matters will prevent their coming north this summer and so attending the 50th. They will certainly be missed.

Randall reported recently giving Waterbon Centre, Maine, as a permanent address. That is where his Sunnybrook Farm (you remember "Rebecca of—") is located and he is busy in his spare time restoring the old house. He's as busy as usual with his art work and poetical output, and is looking forward to Hanover on May 17.

Charley Lamprey will be at the Reunion as much of the time as school duties permit. His letter included a reprint of an address delivered before the Department of Science Instruction of the American Education Association last June on "The Spirit of Outdoor Life in the Schoolroom."

This is written just after Mrs. Strong and I reached Clearwater, Florida where we expect to remain until April, moving north then in plenty of time for the Reunion.

Secretary, Longwood Towers, Brookline, Mass.
