Not having seen Harry "Doc" Linnell of Larchmont, N. Y. for 40 years you can imagine what a delightful surprise your Secretary had when 2 weeks ago Harry and his son Bob pulled up at my door. Harry had just placed an order for ship paint at a shipyard down town and so bore the appearance of affluence. Having fully recovered from the severe operating procedures of a New York surgeon, "Doc" looked the picture of health and laid claim to something like "life begins at 60." With a grandchild 15 years old headed for Dartmouth the future definitely held an interest even to the extent of Harry's promise to return to Hanover for his first

reunion in '43. Ernest L. Brown of Wakefield, Mass., backed by a citizens' committee, successfully navigated his way into a selectman's seat in the recent town election. Congratulations both to E. L. and the town.

We are glad to report the rapid return to health of Charlie Luce of Nashua, N. H. Although a bit ruffled at the doctor's firm "NO" the night of the Dartmouth dinner in Boston, Charlie has recovered his equanimity and promises to be with us at many another gathering.

The Boston Dartmouth Club dinner polled the smallest number of '03 men ever recorded—Ned Kenerson, Pip Howard and your Secretary. We did our best, but next year we hope you'll join us.

Harold Comstock of Riverton, Wyo. writes of his appreciation for the sending of the class picnic picture by Harold Hess. His comments on the likenesses of a few of you youthful '03ers should not be published here, but the real remedy for Commy's shock is a return to reunion in '43. Harold weighs 160 lbs., his hair is thinned and white, and his tough Cornstock fibre shows in every movement. We'll be watching for you, Commy.
