ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CLASS OF 1916 MEMORIAL FUND, following the custom established by the classes of 1913, 1914. and 1915 on the occasions of their 25th reunions, gives cumulative satisfaction to the Alumni Fund Committee, as does the substantial advance already deposited with the College by the class of 1917 toward its Memorial Fund, which is to be formally established at its 25th reunion later this spring.

The '16 Memorial Fund was created with the original sum of $4,000, at the same time that the class was making the largest contribution in its history to the Alumni Fund. The Committee is pleased to note that the class of 1926 has made its beginning on a 25th Anniversary Fund, the youngest class now actually at work toward this end.

Plans for 25th reunion gifts are made by class officers who usually appoint a special

"Class Memorial Fund Committee." This group discusses its objective for the gift, and general plans, with a committee of the Alumni Council which is this year headed by E. E. Martin '19. After approval of its plans is given by the Council the special committee of the class takes steps to put its proposals for establishing the Reunion gift before the class, preferably some years in advance of the 25th reunion. The Class Funds already give assurance of supplementing the Alumni Fund to an increasingly helpful extent.
