PROF. ALLEN R. FOLEY '20 of the Dartmouth history department will make a tour of Dartmouth alumni centers in the far west and will be guest of honor and principal speaker at five dinner meetings from May 14 through May 23.
Professor Foley will visit Denver first, addressing the Dartmouth Alumni Association of the Great Divide on May 14. On May 18 he will appear in Los Angeles for the dinner meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Southern California, and on the following evening he will be in San Francisco for a similar gathering of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Northern California.
Professor Foley will continue his tour in Portland, Ore., on May 22, there addressing the Dartmouth Association of Oregon, and on May 23 he will end his series of talks in Seattle at the dinner of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of the State of Washington.
Prof. Donald L. Stone of the Political Science Department, chairman of the Defense Group's committee on military service, will represent the College at a dinner meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Northern New Jersey on May 1. Another May dinner will be that at Tulsa on May 6 when Prof. Robert K. Carr '29 will speak to the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Oklahoma.
At April alumni meetings, Prof. Russell R. Larmon '19 and Charles M. Pearson '42 addressed the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Manchester, N. H., on the 20th; Albert I. Dickerson '30 and Coach Osborne B. Cowles spoke at the Connecticut state gathering at New Britain on the 30th; and Prof. William Stuart Messer, head of the Dartmouth Defense Group and vice chairman of the Committee on Defense Instruction, addressed the Rhode Island Dartmouth Association at Providence on the 30th.
