Odd Sheepskins

DARTMOUTH'S 1942 GRADUATES will have a lasting reminder of the war in their diplomas, which carry a double date as a result of the academic speed-up.

Prepared last fall when June 14 was the scheduled graduation date, the sheepskins presented a problem when Dartmouth moved graduation ahead five weeks. The solution was rather simple; back they went to the engraver for an extra line: Datum die decimo mensis MailMDCCC CXLII.
