The last '20 Notes were written on April 9 and quite a batch, of news items have appeared since that date. We have been asked to cut down somewhat on copy so what isn't included this month will appear next Fall. As per schedule, in May I attended the Class Reunion and Secretary's Association meeting in Hanover. Physically things looked the same but there wasn't the carefree atmosphere which we have become so accustomed to in our annual visit. The number of '20's on hand was particularly few. Usually, before the week-end is over, from 15 to 20 are in evidence, but this year it was confined to the McGoughrans, Lappins, Bowens (who by the way, were there for the Hanover Holiday and had traffic with no one graduating prior to '37), Al Frey and myself. For the first time in years the Baketels were absent along with such other perennials as Bun Harvey, Ben Ayers, Doc Miller, at al. However, something new was added about 1 A.M. Sunday. Imagine your surprise and delight if you took a gander at this something new and found it to be John Z. Jordan. Well, that's who it was and at that point the week-end was made. Zack had flown East and was signing up X number of men for a new project being launched by a subsidiary of Lockheed. He had a few hours to spare so he journeyed to Hanover for the first time since 1921. The old boy hasn't changed a bit except that he has even more enthusiasm than ever; if that's possible. He left Sunday noon with the McGoughrans, promising to be on hand in '45 if he and we could possibly make it.
