FIVE DARTMOUTH MEN will receive a total of $1100 as a result of selections for the Town Prize, the Perkins Prize, and the Haseltine Prize. The awards, which are given annually for exceptional scholarship in particular fields, are made from funds established in each case by an alumnus or friend of the College.
The first award of the Francis L. Town '56 Prize, for $0200, and the second award of $100 are offered annually to "two meritorious and deserving students at the end of their sophomore year, in the scientific course of the College." The two winners are, respectively, Walter S. Rothwell '45, of New Bedford, Mass., and Raphael E. Eban '45, of Tilton, N. H.
