Willkie in Hanover
October 1943

WENDELL L. WILLKIE h'41 paid a brief visit to Hanover early in September. His call was purely a social one, upon President Hopkins, and was in no way connected with the College or the V-12 Unit.

The Republican Presidential nominee of 1940, who received Dartmouth's honorary Doctorate of Laws two years ago, stopped off at the President's house enroute from Northfield, Vt., to Canterbury, N. H. Later in the week Mr. Hopkins joined Mr. Willkie as a guest at the home of Sinclair Weeks in Lancaster, N. H.
