J. WILLIAM EMBREE '21, president of the Dartmouth Alumni Council, has announced plans for the annual fall meeting to be held at the University Club, Boston, November 1-2. Carl A. Gray '23 of Plainville, Conn., author of the widely approved "Connecticut Plan," or "Gray Plan," for both wartime and post-war vocational planning, will be a principal speaker before the Council. As announced last month President Hopkins, who was a founding member of the Council, will be the group's principal guest. He will discuss problems and policies of the College on the luncheon speaking program. At that time Halsey C. Edgerton '06, treasurer, will speak on financial matters.
During the afternoon November 12 the Council will hear reports of its committees. A major subject on the agenda will be a full discussion of plans to be put in operation soon for vocational help to be offered Dartmouth men in the service upon their return to civilian life after the war. Francis J. A. Neef, Director of the College Personnel Bureau, will be present at the meeting to speak on this subject. It will be through Mr. Neef's office that actual procedures of the Council's vocational plan will be handled.
