Events at Hanover

Nov. 5 Winter Term begins. Dartmouth Night. 6 Football, Columbia vs. Dartmouth. The Players, "George Washington Slept Here," Webster Hall. 13 College Concert Series, "Faust," Metropolitan Opera Association, Webster Hall. 16 Lecture, Robert Frost, Dartmouth Hall. 20 Variety Show, Webster Hall. 30 College Concert Series, Anne Brown, soprano, Webster Hall. Haryard. He taught at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for several years, and for the past three has been engaged in aero-dynamic research at Langley Field for the National Advisory Council on Aeronautics.

Robert C. Hill, of Haledon, N. J., will join the Chemistry Department as research assistant, following his graduation from Columbia University where he majored in chemistry.

Paul S. Staples Jr. '44, having completed his course at the Thayer School this month, becomes an instructor in mechanical engineering on the Thayer School staff.

Assisting in the Graphics Department next term will be Paul K. Stimson of Hanover, a teacher in the local high school.
