Participation in all extra-curriculum activities except intercollegiate athletics is now permitted V-12 freshmen at Dartmouth, under a liberalization of regulations announced early in October by Major John Howland, USMCR, then commanding officer of the Unit. The executive order removing the ban which had been in effect since the start of the Unit in July was issued in accordance with the recommendation of the Academic Board, which is in charge of scholastic matters and eligibility for V-12 trainees.
Henceforth entering V-12 freshmen will be able to go out for publications, dramatics, the glee club, band, the DCAC competition, and all other present activities.
