A VALUABLE COLLECTION of mounted specimens of the flora of the Woodstock, Vermont, area has been presented to the College Museum. The gift, which includes over 1000 entries, most of which have added color notes, was made by Miss Elizabeth Billings, of Woodstock, well-known amateur botanist.

Started over 20 years ago by Miss Billings and continued with the aid of Miss E. M. Kittredge, the collection was first exhibited in 1933 and later formed the basis for the lists of Ferns and Flowering Plants and Grasses and Sedges of Woodstock, Vermont, by Miss Billings. The collection is practically complete for the Woodstock area, except for a few extremely rare plants, and it will form the nucleus for a projected collection of all flowers within a 20-mile radius of Hanover.
