OF A TOTAL OF 1954 trainees, 1628, or 83.3 per cent of the Unit, have made War Bond allotments, the results of the campaign for this station show. This total represents $17,587.50 a month, and is the equivalent of 938 Bonds of $25 demonination per month, or over eleven thousand Bonds per year. The largest number of allotments was made in the smallest class, 841 trainees alloting $6.25 per month for a $25 Bond each quarter. The average allotment for the Unit as a whole was $9.00.
By way of comparison, the V-12 trainees at Williams College had a coverage of 99.3 per cent, their average allotment being $12.50. The per cent coverage at Colgate was also up the 90's. However, officials state that Dartmouth's figure, while lower, is far from disappointing because of the size of this unit.
