DR. VOJTA BENES, brother of the former President of Czechoslovakia, came to Hanover on a four-day visit from November 8 to 12 and talked informally with several campus groups and before several classes on the position and problems of Czechoslovakia in the post-war world. Dr. Benes, who came to Dartmouth from the United Nations Information Office in New York, is an expert in educational problems and was an inspector of schools and a Senator in Czechoslovakia. During 1915 to 1919, he was active in arousing sentiment among American Czechs and Slovaks favorable to the formation of the Czechoslovak state.

"The Problem of Central European Minorities" was discussed by Dr. Benes with the Social Science Club on November 10. The Council on Post-War Problems sponsored an informal question and answer period in the Treasure Room of Baker Library during three afternoons of Mr. Benes' visit. He discussed with the group "The Relation of Czechoslovakia with Soviet Russia," "The Position of Czechoslovakia in the Post-War World," and "Education in Post-War Czechoslovakia."
