DARTMOUTH NIGHT, November 5th, 1943 was a gala occasion for the Chicago Group. We were fortunate in having a good turnout at a Cocktail Party held at the University Club from 4 until about 8 P.M. The Armed Services were well represented with contingents from Glenview Naval Air Station, Tower Hall, as well as several boys who happened to be passing through the city at a most opportune time.
J. W. Embree Jr. '2l, tells us that his son, J. W. (Bill) Embree 111 was accepted for admission to the College in July of 1943 as a member of the Class of '47. However, he made a slight change in his plans and is now located at Fort Benning, Georgia. Mrs. Louis Goldman, 5000 East End Avenue, Chicago, writes that her son, Lt. Jack S. Goldman of the Class of '39 is stationed in England. His address is Headquarters Bth Air Force Service Command, A.P.O. 633, c/o Postmaster, New York City, New York. M. R. Mac Donald of the Class of 1915 advises us that Lt. Malcolm R. Mac Donald Jr. '4O, is now located at Camp Ellis, Illinois as "Assistant to Public Relations Officer, Office of the Commanding General.
We are very glad to see that parents of Dartmouth men in the Services are reading these columns. They have been among our best sources of news.
Don't forget that regular monthly luncheons are now the order of the day for the Chicago Association. These are held in a private dining room at Mandel Brothers Department Store, State and Madison Streets, on the second Monday of each month at 12:15 P.M.
