FIFTY-ONE MEN turned out for our last luncheon held on February 14 at Mandel Brothers Department Store in honor of Earl Brown, Dartmouth football coach. This was Mr. Brown's first visit to Chicago since taking over the Dartmouth job. He left everyone with the impression that Dartmouth football and basketball were in capable hands and his record at Dartmouth stands as proof of this.

Bill Embree Jr. '2l tells us that his brother, Lt. H. S. ("Hank") Embree "30, after finishing a course at the Naval War College is now stationed in New Caledonia. His actual duties are unknown to us at the moment but we hope to have more information on this later.

You will remember that Lt. Thomas W. ("Tom") Eastman '33 returned to this country a few months ago for hospitalization after having spent several months in India. We are pleased to report that he has completely recovered and is now located at the 56th Air Depot Group, Tinker Field, Oklahoma City, as Transportation Officer.

Bill Embree III, in recent weeks has been sent by Uncle Sam to Leland Stanford University to take an engineering course. His ultimate job is currently unknown to us and, acc ording to reports, to himself also.

S. H. Englander '32, has recently come to Chicago with the Civil Aeronautics Administration at 608 South Dearborn Street. Another newcomer is H. Z. Russell '31 who has opened offices at 176 West Adams Street.

Despite the war, Chicago interest in Dartmouth activity has been maintained at its usual high level thanks largely to the efforts of Newton H. Tobey '25, president of the Chicago Dartmouth Group.

The Association is looking forward to its annual banquet to be held at the University Club on March 29. Chicago's good fortune continues in that President Hopkins will be present as guest of honor.
