FIFTY-FIVE MEMBERS of the classes of 1943 and 1944 were granted the Bachelor's degree by the Board of Trustees at its annual fall meeting in Boston on November 12. This group was in addition to the 23 members of 1944 who as first-year medical students received degrees on October 23.
The Board at the same time voted the Master of Arts degree to Charles P. Hadley '4l on the basis of graduate work done in the Department of Physics.
The four 1943 men who received A. B. degrees were Harry K. Denier, John F. Harvey, Takaiiobu Mitsui, and John J. Murphy Jr.
The 1944 group was divided into 42 men who received the A. B. degree and 9 who were .awarded the B. S degree for Thayer School work. The former included:
