The sympathy of the whole class will go out to Judge George Bingham, our class president, for his great bereavement in the death of his sister, Helen, at his Manchester home, December 17, after a brief illness. Miss Bingham was a descendant in the eighth generation from John Hutchins, who came to Massachusetts from England in 1638, the founder of one of America's outstanding families. Miss Bingham was a worthy representative of her distinguished ancestry. A graduate of Smith College, (was her sister Mrs. Thomas Walsh) she was an exponent of the best culture of the times, greatly beloved by her many friends, and effectively engaged in many benevolent and religious activities. The loss will be especially great to the surviving sister, Mrs. Walsh. The two lived an ideal life together in the family home at Littleton.
It is a real pleasure to announce that Charlie Conn has completely recovered from his long illness and has returned to his business at Philadelphia. Since he deals in cement he must be very busy.
Dr. Sanborn has reported the achievement of nine holes of golf daily. A few years ago his legs would not allow such strenuous activity. . . .A recent call from "Sonny" Gage brings the regrettable information that the Dartmouth Association of Florida will have no dinner this year. In recent years this event has been a real delight, since there is a sizeable gang of alumni of the eighties always present. Judge Cleaveland, the present president, from Lancaster, gave us a magnificent program last year.
Our classmates are now being showered with grandchildren. These "blessed events" in recent weeks have come to Winn and Corwin—one to the former and two males to the latter.
