Henry O. Cushman. "Cush" has his sister, Miss Ellen M. Cushman, as his right-hand home companion, and she watches eagerly over his daily progress. A letter from her March 9 says, "Hal is very much improved. His eyes now permit quite a bit of reading and he can take good walks when the sky is cloudy, so we have had many days this winter that have just suited him. As a result of all this his nerves are much better and he again takes an interest in the news (when not too sensational). He does not go to the office, but does a good bit of business through his office by phone."
