Billy Wallis says that he has abandoned all idea of going to Florida this winter; in- stead, he is staying at his old stamping ground, Washington, D. C., the address being 1720 Kenyon Street, N.W.

Under the heading "Dr. Smalley Returns to Native Town" the Lebanon, New Hampshire, Free Press tells us that our own Fred Smalley is moving to Lebanon and is taking up the practice of medicine there, following in the footsteps of his father Adomiran Smalley who was a physician there until his death in 1876. Fred's pro- fessional career has been mainly in Read- ing, Massachusetts, where he practiced for thirty-three years. Fred will be assisted in his Lebanon work by Mrs. Smalley who held very responsible positions as a gradu- ate nurse before their marriage in 1935. The Free Press says that Dr. Smalley's ar- rival in Lebanon will be a welcome one "since the departure of Lebanon physi- cians for war service leaves a shortage which will be relieved by the coming of Dr. Smalley."

They are still talking about the Matt Bushnell Jones Collection of Americana in the Harvard University Library. Your Secretary saw a reference to the importance of this collection, in the New York HeraldTribune recently.

Notes from feminine members of '94: Mrs. Rossiter says she is "getting by quite well. Keep busy with Red Cross work, etc." Mrs. Penniman is keeping the home open for Judge Henry Richardson, Dartmouth '96, in Claremont, New Hampshire. Last spring she started a garden at the old home in Meriden. "The garden, as a '94 farm garden should, grew and flourished, yielding vegetables for summer use and also to fill cans for winter use, as well as 40 bushels of good potatoes." Mrs. Mudgett says that her son and her sons-in-law are rather beyond the age of active combat duty, "but we are all doing what we can to help those who are fighting our common enemy." She writes from Sterling Junction, Massachusetts.
