Hardy Richardson is back in the harness again. After twenty-five years as Probate Judge of his County and recently in poor health, he expected to retire. Much to his surprise the shortage of lawyers in Claremont has called him back to his office where he has all the business he cares to attend to.

Tom Ham writes that he is extremely busy giving his services to many local and national activities. His son is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard, and another son is Associate in Medicine at the University of Virginia. His daughter, Josephine, is in Raleigh, N. C., where her husband teaches in the University. Tom has six grandchildren, which I think puts him at the head of our class in number of descendants.

Ike Cox is author of "Florida—Frontier Outpost of New Spain," reprinted from Hispanic-American Essays. The book is edited by A. Curtis Wilgus and published by the University of North Carolina Press.
