YOUR SECRETARY has just returned from the annual meeting of the secretaries association, held this year at the Dartmouth Club in New York City.

Two ex-members of our own gang who were also in attendance send their greetings ings to all who read this column. They are the founder and main spark-plug for several years, Charley Stickney '2l, and Os Skinner '28, one time peripatetic president of this organization, and still plenipotentiary of the class of '28. Charley is now working in Washington in the WPB division of equipment and supplies, while Os is still with an oil company in Troy, Pa.

In a meeting of the secretaries during the afternoon session, Mansfield D. Sprague '33, spoke on Alumni Club activities. Your secretary was very much relieved to discover that we are not alone in the problems confronting us today. Practically all of the alumni associations face the same difficulties of transportation, inability to hold dinner meetings, and shrinkage in membership. The best we can do is hold on until this mess is over.

The problem of collecting dues was also discussed. It seems that practically none of the classes or associations have dropped collections; so within a short time we will again pursue this most interesting hobby. You can expect a bill almost any time now. Your treasurer is extremely selfish and a definite money grabber; he even has the gall to hope that enough dues might be forthcoming to pay all or part of the expenses incurred by the secretary in attending the New York meeting.

The Dartmouth Club of Baltimore extends a welcome to alumni who may be stationed for a longer or shorter time in the Baltimore area. Our meetings are held each month, but the day of the month may vary according to circumstances. Information in regard to meetings and addresses of local alumni may be obtained from the Secretary, Harold R. Hastings 'OO, during business hours at U. S. Fidelity & Guaranty Company, phone Lexington 0380; at other times at 146 West Lanvale Street, phone Madison 2893-J. HAROLD R. HASTINGS 'OO.
