It is a small world—especially in Washington. One day not long ago I was just about to lift my bride and carry her across the threshold of our new home, when I noticed a well-worn grey Ford sporting a flock of Dartmouth stickers pull into the parking space next to me. Out hopped Lt. "Cam" Hosmer and wife. Our surprised and noisy greeting stopped sidewalk passers-by, particularly after we discovered we lived in the same building. "Cam" is with the Signal Corps, stationed temporarily in Washington, and is in the same office with Lt. George Baine.

DESERVED DECORATION

A few months ago we learned that Larry Dwyer had been decorated by the Army, and now another of our flying classmates, Lt. Dick Shedden AAF joins that select group. Dick received the Army Air Medal for gallantry in action. Congratulations fella'—we're certainly proud of you.

NEWS FROM HERE AND AFAR

"Gus" Broberg finished Navy pre-flight school and is now taking his primary training at Norfolk, Va. "Stace" Hill received his commission as a second lieutenant on the 14th of May, and was hoping for a bit of leave to get back to "Cincy" before heading out.

A note from Oscar Israel's wife (whom he married Dec. 28, 1942) informed me that he is now a lieutenant, and stationed at Camp McCain, Miss.

Remember the Mutt and Jeff combina- tion we used to see together on the campus? Well, O'Brien and Flanders hunted Japs together, too, on Guadalcanal. A note from "Obie's" dad said that the "big fellow" is now recuperating and getting a much-deserved rest down in New Zealand.

Ensign "Irv" Jackson is in Africa in bomb disposal work. Ensigns Vinnie Else and Chuck Carletonkeep, looking at one another across a desk in BuOrd, and Lt. John Kelley is still cracking the instructor's whip at the ROC's in Quantico, Va. Lt. (jg) Dave Chamberlain recently returned from Africa, has shoved off again, and this time it's to the Pacific area. Lt. Bob Campbell is flying from one of the carriers in the South Pacific, and that picture in the Boston Herald proves Eddie Jeremiah's crack defense man hasn't lost any weight.

The PC School in Miami must be a Big Green haven, for at present it includes Ensigns Ez Crowley, Don Knight, Jack Delaney, Carl Krogh, Warner Bishop and Dick Darby.

Elmer Crehan, Jack Selby, Bob Ramie, Monty Winship, and Frank Munsey are together at B. U. Med School, while Rollie French, Joe Fuller, Bill Dignam and Bob Ferguson are at Harvard Med.

Ensign Pete Keir, at Kodiak, has moved to a new base much further north, though his mailing address is still Kodiak. Ensign Landon Martin is attached to a fighter squadron aboard the (censored). Lt. (jg) Dick Peyser is in the Caribbean area, and Ensign Ed Phelan is serving with the Atlantic Fleet. Lt. Dan Dacey is at Camp Roberts, Cal.

IMPORTANT NEWS

In closing let me remind you not to neglect sending in your Alumni Fund contribution. We all can and want to contribute, so don't put it off. Let's have '41 on the top of the heap this year.

Ensign Lew Johnstone has taken over the class agent position, handled previously by Tom Oakes, for Tom is pretty busy in the Army right now. I know Lew is working hard for the College and the class in this drive, so get behind him and drop a check in the mail today.
