HARRY C. MILLS '24, Club Chairman of the Vocational Committee, is vigorously carrying forward his program for advising returning service men about job opportunities in the city. Anyone interested in volunteering his services to aid this endeavor should contact Mr. Mills through the Club. At present panel chairmen for twenty different major industries have been named, but further help within or outside of the existing list will be welcomed.

Dwight Sargent '18 is Vice Chairman in charge of the various panel chairmen. John Dodge '22 is Vice Chairman in charge of contacting organizations for the purpose of maintaining a current list of available openings. These will be transmitted to the various panel chairmen in order to maintain an up- to-date list of opportunities.

Applicants should call at the Club and indicate the industry in which they are particularly interested. An appointment will then be made with the panel chairman in charge of that industry. In the resulting conference the panel chairman will discuss generally the nature of work and the opportunities available. Industries currently represented on the committee include public utilities, air transportation, telephone communication, radio broad- casting, law, medicine, advertising, hotel management, textiles, banking, insurance, and a miscellaneous group covering other activities not directly represented. Recently Mr. Mills conferred with Professor Neef and Don Cameron in order to coordinate the Club program with the plans sponsored by the College as a whole.

Cliff Hart '21 has been appointed Chairman of the Club Activities Committee (formerly the Entertainment Committee) to replace Jack Davis '25, who has been forced to resign because of the pressure of business.

Plans are now being laid for Dartmouth Night, November 10, when Professor Allen R. Foley '20 will enliven proceedings by reviewing recent developments at Hanover. The program starts at eight O'clock at the Club, except that numerous classes are planning informal dinners beforehand. Some of these already scheduled are the Classes of '14, '17, '18, '19, '20, and '21, but no doubt others will follow suit.

During the week of October gth, Christmas packages were mailed to about 260 former members of the Club who are now in the service. According to President W. C. Batchelder '19, these should delight the palates of recipients and their friends.

Alumni in the New York area may contact the Club to learn the addresses of Dartmouth men recently ensconced in New York City.

Hopes are high that the Club's squash team will win the League Championship this year. The team was barely nosed out last year and Captain Russ Pettengill '09 reports that R. J. Mann '34 and Jim Tindall '36 are promising new prospects. All members are welcome to try out for the team.

On September 21, forty-five (I) members of the class of '18 held forth at the Paumonok Country Club enjoying lobsters, oysters and clams in addition to dancing and more informal events.

James T. White '24 resigned as Club Secretary in favor of a similar capacity for his class. The undersigned will attempt to carry on in his place.
