BILL CUNNINGHAM '19 has written this month's lead article, a salute to the Women of Dartmouth, starting on page 9. Bill, whose journalistic accomplishments are known to all our alumni readers, has coined the alliterative term, Dartmouth's Distaff Division, and has proceeded to describe the myriad ways in which the women folks have gone to bat for the College in these days of manpower shortage.

Dean Speight of St. Lawrence University, whom many will remember as a former Dartmouth teacher, has written out some thoughts about majors in the postwar college. His article starts on page 13. Another of Professor Richardson's biographical sketches of the men for whom College buildings are named, this month Butterfield, will be found on page 17. A short feature about Father. Sliney, for 25 years pastor in Hanover, begins on page 25.
