The following from the January 29th issue of Publishers Weekly, indicates the value accruing to any group or society fortunate enough to have our good treasurer among its members: "The Bibliographical Society of America held its semi-annual meeting on January 21, at the Institute of Fine Arts of New York University. Thomas W. Streeter, president of the Society, explained that for the duration all the meetings will be held in New York, after the war it is hoped that the meetings will again be held in different parts of the country. Mr. Streeter announced that the Rockefeller Foundation had given $7500 as a trial grant for the completion of the Bibliography of American imprints. He also announced an anonymous grant for the purpose of compiling a definite short-title bibliography of American literature of the last 150 years."

On February 8 the Navy commended Lt. Commander Edmund P. Rordan, New Orleans, and the crew of his naval air transport plane for flying 3,500 miles from Norfolk, Va. to Sicily via Labrador-Greenland-Iceland and Scotland with 31/2 tons of urgently needed mine-sweeping equipment. The flight was begun within a few hours after an emergency call was received for the equipment needed to clear German mines from the Palermo Harbor. Class interest in this exciting voyage cen- ters on the navigator Lt. (jg) Myron P. Witham Jr. o£ Burlington, Vt.

"Did the Lord tell him that"? was the query of Judge Arthur E. Sewall in divorce proceedings of the Maine Superior Court when the wife said "he (her husband) accused me of going out with other men." Her previous testimony indicated that two months after their marriage in 1932 he said "the Lord was talking to him and telling him things about me." Later the court asked the witness "if she would return to live with her husband if the Lord stopped talking to him."

Harrie Muchmore is again living in the United States at 225 Azalea Circle, Country Club Village, Springhill, Ala. and we hope to give you more information about him soon.

Our Go-Getter Class Agents Robinson and Sexton report enthusiastically about the dinn er of the Boston Alumni Assn., at the Copley Plaza, Feb. 3rd which was attended by Bullock, Sewall, Brackett, Sexton, Maguire, Lampee, Hobbs, Woods, Wiley, Robinson. It's good to see Dutch Wiley with the class group the second time within a year and also to find Karl Brackett attending the association dinner for the first time and renewing his old friendships. It has been my misfortune to miss the last two of these gatherings.

There are rumors that the reunions of '01, '02, '03, '04, '05 may be renewed in the late spring, probably somewhere in Boston territory. Please send any suggestions you may have for an informal reunion (our fortieth) to us so they may be turned over to the Committee which will be announced in the next number of the MAGAZINE.
